In addition to serving as president of the American Gem Society (2010-2012), she is proud to be the Pennsylvania Jeweler of the Year (2009). Cathy serves on the Board of Directors for the Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company, Jewelers for Children, Diamond Empowerment Fund and Jewelers of America.
Cathy has been featured as a jewelry expert on Antiques Road Show, Good Morning America, World News Tonight, Travel Channel, CNN Money and HGTV’s “If Walls Could Talk” and “You Live in What.”
Michael LaMiaux is our Store Manager at CALHOUN ESTATE JEWELERS, Carmel-by-the-Sea, California…..West Coast.Before Managing our Carmel-by-the-Sea location, he was the Store Manager for our Flagship store in Pennsylvania for 20 years. Majoring in marketing during college he went on to start his own publishing company and in the early 90″s went on to open an Ice Cream Store & Bakery. In 1998, while still running the ice cream store he was offered a position as manager for Calhoun Jewelers then decided to further his education focusing on his passion for jewelry and the jewelry industry.
In 2010 Michael became a Registered Jeweler with the American Gem Society.
These days, he no longer scoops ice cream, instead, he shares his knowledge of some of the most beautiful works of art found in Antique and Estate Jewelry!
He enjoys working closely with clients, helping them find that “perfect” piece of jewelry, that not only fits their need, but their style and personality.
Richard Connell comes to Calhoun Jewelers with an extensive background in the jewelry industry. As manager and mentor for future manager in the jewelry division of Baily Banks and Biddle he assisted in the Division of Educational Training and Seminars throughout the northeast coast. He received numerous industry certifications from BBB educational division as well as GIA management courses.
For the past 14 years he was the Store Manager for Koehler’s Jewelers located in Lansdale PA helping this family owned jeweler continue to grow their business with his expertise in jewelry and customer service.
Barbara White, CSA Barbara White has been with Calhoun Jewelers for 15 years and is a Certified Sales Associate through the American Gem Society. Previously, Barb worked at the J.E. Caldwell Jewelers in King of Prussia. She has a passion for custom jewelry design and enjoys getting to know her clientele on a personal level so she can assist then with all their jewelry needs and wants!
Barbara was also instrumental in helping Owner, Cathy Calhoun, setting up the new store, Calhoun Estate Jewelers, in beautiful Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.
Joan Austerberry Joan is one of our Jewelry Design Specialist, she assists customers in determining their vision and personal style so that each of our beautiful and unique creations find their proper home. Joan comes with a tremendous education background and years of Real Estate experience.
Alice Beavers-Dake is a multi talented artist and poet who graduated from Moore College of Art & Design. She has over 20 years of experience in scenic designing and painting for the Center for Performing and Fine Arts. Alice is also a fantastic portrait artist who currently works on a commission basis.
She has 15 years of experience in retail management and is a jewelry designer. Her personality and professional skills make her a great fit for Calhoun Jewelers.We call her “Artsy Fartsy”!!!!!
GLORIA ROYCE Gloria comes to Calhoun Jewelers with an extensive background in the Bridal Fashion Industry. Being the 3rd generation in the family to shop here, Cathy encouraged her to join our Team and bring her expertise with her! Gloria is also a professional violinist and holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Pedagogy. She has performed in Ireland, Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic. She also maintains a private violin studio. Gloria will help you find your “perfect signature” piece of jewelry.
