Hippie Happening  Crowds gathered for the "Hippie Happening" at Calhoun Jewelers, The event celebrated the 41st anniversary of the Monterey Pop Festival with a chance to see unpublished photos from Tom Gundelfinger O'Neal, who flew in from California and is responsible for the art on roughly 100 album covers. His most well-known work is the photo that graces Crosby, Stills,Nash, and Young's multi-platinum "Deja vu" album. Calhoun's unveiled their new line of "Peace Symbol Jewelry"

Gingerbread House Contest  This annual holiday event is one of of our most popular. For the last six years we have hosted a gingerbread house making competition. The event involves local culinary students who compete to build the best gingerbread house. People from all over are encouraged to vote for their favorite house and the winner is given a $1,000.00 scholarship from Calhoun Jewelers. The voters also get a chance to win a diamond necklace.
