Favero was founded in 1973 by Mariano Favero in Bassano del Grappa in the Province of Vincenza.
This area has been famous for the working of gold throughout the centuries and it gave birth
to artists such as Palladio and Canova. In the classical period of the 5th and 7th centuries
they established the ground rules for those extraordinary works of art now so well know to all.
Discipline and balance characterize the supremely crafted works of Mariano Favero.
Starting out as a graduate of the Venice Art Institute he is today a jeweler of international
renown, a member of all the most important diamond exchanges and President of the IDD
Institute of Research and Certification.
Building progressively on the experience gained in his chosen sphere Favero, has always
displayed an original creativity which responds, absorbs and moves forward. His artistic
path has been marked by collections such as "Intreccio", "Tulle d'oro" and "Anni 40", all
now accepted as milestones in the evolution of Ilatian jewelry.
At the beginning of the 90's the dominanting feature of Favero's jewels was his choice of
white gold, platinum and diamonds, in total challenge to the chromatic tastes of the day.
The conceptual clarity in those years of his "Rain" and "Fireworks" collections captured in
advance the essence and elegance of all that was most truly in tune with the impending
new Millenium.
But the Millenial moment found Mariano Favero following a fresh inspiration
with collections such as "Persia and 6.23" and the return of color.
Now it is fantasies of diamonds, rubies, emeralds and sapphires, all stones of the
finest quality, that flowed from Bassano's renowned jewel treasury.
These creations were as fresh and creative as ever, with no faltering of that refined
simplicity which is the hallmark of the House. Favero Jewels stands today as a
preeminent craft center by virtue of both its creative genius and the supremacy of its
technical production standards. It's structure is that of a modern, expanding
business, spread across many sectors yet integrated in it's operations.
It enjoys an ever stronger presence in the international marketplace.

Creating opulent jewelry which looks elegant and understated the designers at the firm of Leo Wittwer
are masters of the art of using precious stones and pearls to achieve precisely this effect. At the same time, this Pforzheim-based
enterprise has repeatedly proven itself to be a trendsetter.
Lavish, but never overdone: the bright gleam of white gold competes with the sparkle of pavé-set diamonds; the luster of dusky Tahitian pearls
contrasts with the incandescence of diamonds; a large solitaire rests in splendid isolation upon the shimmering, diamond-scudded band of a ring.
These are a few of the classical elements to be found in Leo Wittwer Collection, but one can also discover many innovations emboided in pieces
jewelry made by this Pforzheim-based manufacturer.
